The Hyperloop is supposed to be able to transport people from San Francisco to Los Angles in about thirty minutes using air pressure to eliminate friction and superconducting magnets for acceleration.
This sounds like futurism at its finest. Even if it never gets built, advancing ideas like this get people thinking. Big ideas can shake people up and make them question what they are putting up with on a day-to-day basis. “What if I could get from here to LA in thirty minutes?” “What if i didn’t have to put up with this traffic every day?”
Simply putting an alternative out there can get people dreaming of a better future.
